Description
Jmod mapper seems completely unreliable in retaining its mapping, when using the listening function. Saving and recalling from file. I have not been able to create a mapping, save it to disc and then recall it succesfully using the listening function. When deleting mappings in the text representation and creating new ones using the listening function, current mappings seem to be overwritten. Otherwise general strangeness.

Hi Thorolf,
are you able to provide a simple patch, saved preset or cue file, and steps to illustrate (or how to reproduce using the help patch for jmod.mapperContinuous) so that we can be sure that we are investigating the same issue that you are observing?
To me this sounds as there might be a @priority issue with the module.
Best,
Trond

Hi. Trond.
I send this from gmail as I am having trouble sending mail from the Bek server but if you want to forward it to the list thats fine.
I am away from the project where I am using jamoma for a while so I wont be able to look at it a while.
For the record the issue does not concern jmod.mapperContinuoius but jmod.mapper. The former is working well for me at the moment.
If I where to include a patch it would contain the bfc2000 module, some other modules of some sort and the jmod.mapper.
I would then map controls using the listening function, saving the mappings as a file. Close the patch reopen the patch and load the mappings. THen delete some of the mappings in the text interface(coll) then make new ones. I then find that some of the older mappings (that where not deleted) have been ovewritten. When saving the mappings again (clicking save) closing the patch and reopening it I then find that some or a lot of the mappings are missing.
I have now implemented an alternative midi-learn system that I am using but can have a look at the jmod.mapper again on occasion. It would anyway be extremely usefull if it was realiable in recalling the mappings.
All the best
