Description
This has been discussed over the years at several workshops, and usually agreed upon -- yet we never do it.
Max is millisecond oriented, but for time the SI unit is seconds and most other software works in seconds (e.g. SuperCollider).
A thorough review of the code to find places where time assumptions are made should be made, and also a means for continuing to interface with Max (where most people using the software for a few years have become accustomed to ms).

I'm strongly seconding your proposal, Tim, and I could even spend some time on it - but only from next january...
